For Immediate Release:
MILWAUKEE (November 13, 2024) – Milwaukee ER & Hospital is officially open and providing the community with the next level of innovative health care. Starting today, the neighborhood ER & Hospital will begin seeing patients 24/7, 365 days a year, providing year-round access to unparalleled outpatient and inpatient medical care. The facility is conveniently located at 1751 W Layton Avenue, off Interstate 94/41.
Founded by board-certified emergency room physicians and Nutex Health Inc., Milwaukee ER & Hospital has opened with the mission to put patients first and offer a concierge-level care experience to all—offering advanced clinical, pediatric, imaging, and laboratory service to the community.
“We are excited to be officially open and providing the greater Milwaukee area medical care, featuring emergency services, inpatient care, and outpatient imaging,” said Michaela Wood, M.D., Chief Medical Officer at Milwaukee ER & Hospital. “Our expert team of emergency physicians looks forward to showing each patient individualized, excellent care.”
The neighborhood hospital’s advanced technology and expert staff are bringing the best-in-class medical care with eight inpatient rooms and eight ER beds to provide the local community with innovative care. The 22,345-square-foot state-of-the-art facility with an onsite laboratory and imaging features high-tech testing capabilities with MRIs, CT scans, X-rays, and Ultrasounds that offer same-day scheduling and quick results.
In comparison to the woes of traditional ER systems, patients will be met with the convenience of health care in the comfort of a pleasant environment with friendly faces, a short wait, ample one-on-one time with a physician, and the option for an extended stay if necessary. No matter the injury or illness a patient presents, Milwaukee ER & Hospital is equipped to examine and treat patients efficiently and effectively.
“We take pride in our new facility, and we look forward to giving the people in our community another option for receiving their health care, featuring fast, efficient, cost-effective, high-quality care,” said Judy LaFond, Chief Nursing Officer at Milwaukee ER & Hospital.
Milwaukee ER & Hospital celebrated its official opening with a community open house on November 9 and a ribbon cutting ceremony on November 12.
The facility will offer concierge-level medical care 24/7, 365 days a year, without the wait.
